Joey Bland Joey Bland moved to Chicago from the great state of Virginia in order to study improvisation. He is a five-year veteran at ComedySportz Chicago and performs regularly at the iO Theater. Favorite ensembles include The Improvised Shakespeare Company and Bullet Lounge. Joey also plays with the world-renowned musical improv troupe, Baby Wants Candy.

Tara DeFrancisco Tara DeFrancisco - Hailing from Columbus, Ohio, Tara made the big move to Chicago around 2000 to pursue lady comedy. Tara is a performer at ComedySportz Chicago; she also currently plays with Armando & Merman at iO, travels with Second City TourCo, and sits in with decorated musical improvisers Baby Wants Candy. Recently, she was awarded "Funniest Person in Chicago" in the Free Press. Tara teaches improv, and writes and performs corporate comedy all over the place, too. Seven8Nine is made up of some of the most talented people in the world - and some of her best friends. How lucky is that?

Hans Holsen Hans Holsen tours and jokes around with The Second City Touring Company. He lives in Chicago. He also improvises at i.O., and has worked for such great theater companies as ComedySportz, Barrel of Monkeys, and Collaboraction. Shad Kunkle Shad has been studying improvisation in Chicago since 1996. He is currently a performer at Comedy Sports, IO, and the Second City. He performs regularly with his improv team Carl & the Passions on Wednesday nights and the Armando Diaz Experience on Monday nights. The name Shad is a cross between Chad and Shane. He could have been named Chane, but as it is he shares the same name as a small fish used as bait.

Deanna Moffitt Deanna has always been drawn to comedy and found a home performing with Portland ComedySportz and the critically acclaimed sketch group The 3rd Floor. She has performed in comedy festivals across the country and in Canada with the two person group All Jane No Dick and co-wrote and performed a two person sketch show entitled Berkowitz and Moffitt.
Since her move to Chicago in 2004 she has continued honing her comedic chops as an ensemble member of Chicago ComedySportz, IO and Hubris Productions and has performed for two seasons with ImprovAcadia in Bar Harbor, ME. She cannot wait to rock the world video style.

Robyn Norris Robyn has been performing comedy in Chicago since 1998. She currently tours with the Second City Touring Company. Prior to touring, she wrote and performed in the Second City revue Girls Night Out. You can catch her regularly at Comedysportz, where she is an ensemble member, and at IO playing with the Signatures and ACE. Robyn has written and performed in three original sketch shows with the very talented, Hans Holsen. She also formed the sketch group Waste Management and has performed with Profiles Theatre, Strawdog Theatre, Shaking the Tree, Fox Force Five, Serendipity Theatre and WNEP. Rance Rizzutto Rance Rizzutto moved to Chicago in 2003 and dove right in. He was immediately welcomed by ComedySportz Chicago and has completed training with IO Chicago and Annoyance. He hails from Portland, OR where he got his chops performing with ComedySportz Portland, Your Other Left, and the sketch group The Third Floor Rance can currently be seen at ComedySportz, on the iO Chicago team Johnny Roast Beef, or performing with ImprovAcadia during the summer. Aside from performing he also does headshot/portrait photography.

Sam Super Sam Super has performed improv and sketch comedy all over the country, including at the Chicago Improv Festival, the Toronto Improv Festival, and the Del Close Marathon in New York. Since studying acting at the University of Oregon and the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London, Sam has called Chicago home. There he is a performer and instructor with ComedySportz, and can also be seen in The Hot Karl, DSI's The Beatbox, ACE at the iO Theater, and in the recent Chicago premiere of the new musical, "Listen, Kid!"

Julie B. Nichols Julie Nichols is thrilled to be part of seven8nine. She hails from Deerfield, IL, where her love for music and comedy was cultivated from a young age through, comedy troupes, The Three Amigos, and neighborhood garage rock. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree. She composes for promotional and industrial videos, and short films. She is the Musical Director for the Second City National Touring Company. You can see her perform on piano regularly at iO Chicago and the Annoyance Theater. Check out "Stop That Show!" at the Annoyance Theater at 8pm on Thursdays, because Julie wrote the original score for it! Watch for her newest musical at the Annoyance coming in August of 2007!

Steph McCullough Steph began her piano studies at the age of five and studying music composition at the age of nine. Stephanie has been with ComedySportz since 1999 (and is the current Musical Director), toured nationally with the Second City Touring Company from 2004 to 2006 and has, herself, co-written at least one original musical per year since 2000. She has created hundreds of songs and has been music director for dozens of musicals, corporate productions and recording projects.
